A Farm Retreat for Teams

Step away from the noise.

Harvey Family Farm offers small-group corporate retreats designed for leadership teams and small businesses who need clarity, connection, and uninterrupted space to think. Located just five minutes from downtown Johnson City, our working flower farm provides a calm, natural setting that shifts the energy of your conversations.

This isn’t a hotel conference room.
It’s fresh air, open sky, and room to breathe.

What our community loves about the farm — being present, grounded, and creatively engaged — is exactly what teams need to think clearly and work better together.

Designed for Small Teams

Our retreats are best suited for groups of 10–20 people.

You’ll have a reserved event space within our working flower farm — set up under our tented outdoor area or within our rustic barn space. While the farm remains open for you-pick guests, your team has a clearly designated gathering area designed for focus and conversation.

Small groups. Intentional time. Real progress.

What a Farm Retreat Includes

Each retreat is customized around your goals and may include:

  • Dedicated meeting space setup (tables and white chairs)

  • Guided strategy or planning sessions in a distraction-free setting

  • Simple, structured team-building activities designed for a farm environment

  • Guided farm tour

  • Hands-on floral or farm experience

  • Open space for discussion and breakout conversations

  • Coordination with local facilitators (optional)

  • Catered lunch coordination (optional)

  • On-site chair massage add-on (optional)

We handle the setup so you can focus on your people.

What Sets Our Retreats Apart

01 / Small By Design

We intentionally host groups of 10–20 people to create meaningful conversation and real connection. Smaller teams allow for focused strategy work, deeper discussion, and space for every voice to be heard.

02 / A Working Farm Environment

Our retreats take place within a real, operating flower farm — not a staged venue. Fresh air, open sky, and natural surroundings help teams slow down, think clearly, and step out of routine patterns that limit creativity.

03 / Structured, Hands-On Experience

In addition to meeting time, we incorporate simple, guided farm-based activities that encourage collaboration and communication in a relaxed setting. Teams leave not only with plans, but with shared experience.

Guided Team Experiences

In addition to open strategy time, we offer structured team activities designed specifically for small groups in an outdoor setting.

These experiences are practical, hands-on, and conversation-driven — built to encourage communication, creative thinking, and collaboration in a relaxed environment.

Activities are facilitated on-site and adapted to your team’s size and goals.

Is This a Good Fit?

This experience works well for:

  • Small business leadership teams

  • Church staff

  • Nonprofits

  • Medical or professional practices

  • Creative teams needing reset time

If you’re looking for a large private event venue, we may not be the right fit.

If you’re looking for meaningful time with your team in a setting that changes the pace — let’s talk.

Planning Your Team Retreat

We believe great retreats are simple.

Below, you’ll find everything you need to understand how our farm retreats work — from choosing the right format to customizing your experience and securing your date.

  • How many people can you accommodate?

Our retreats are best suited for groups of 10–15 participants. This size allows for meaningful discussion, smooth logistics, and a comfortable experience within our outdoor setting.

Do we have exclusive use of the farm?

We provide a reserved event space within our working flower farm. While the farm remains open for you-pick guests, your team has a clearly designated gathering area for focused time together.

If full property exclusivity is required, we may not be the right fit.

    What happens if it rains?

Retreats are hosted under tented space or within our rustic barn area. Light rain is typically manageable. In the case of severe weather, we will communicate options for rescheduling or adjusting the format.

Because we operate seasonally, weather flexibility is part of the farm experience.

    Is catering required?

Catering is optional. You are welcome to:

    • Bring in your own lunch

    • Coordinate with a local caterer

    • Have us coordinate catering for you (additional fee)

We’re happy to discuss what works best for your team.

    Do you provide structured facilitation?

We provide simple, guided team activities designed for a small-group farm environment. If you prefer a certified leadership or corporate facilitator, we can coordinate with trusted local professionals.

What is required to reserve a date?

A 50% deposit is required to secure your retreat date. The remaining balance is due one week prior to your event.

Because we host a limited number of retreats each season, dates are not held without a deposit.

    What should our team wear?

Comfortable, weather-appropriate attire is recommended. As a working farm, surfaces may include grass or packed dirt, and is often damp or wet, especially in the mornings. Farm surfaces are uneven. Closed-toe shoes are encouraged.

    When are retreats available?

Retreats are typically scheduled on weekdays and select Fridays during our operating season (April–October). Availability varies, so early booking is recommended.
