Discover, learn & GROW in nature’s classroom

❋ Intentional Structure

The children are guided through nature crafts, STEM activities, and intentional observation time to “go deep” into the natural world..

❋ Free Play

Children learn best through play, so we also build in blocks of time for them to explore the farm and creek on their own. They’re always supervised, but they’re allowed to use their imaginations to the fullest.

❋ Small Group

We keep the camp small on purpose. Large groups of kids are overwhelming for some. By capping attendance at 16 children, Nature Camp stays calm and personal.

❋ A Supportive Space

Our events prioritize comfort, safety, and respect—so your child can show up as they are and be their amazing selves!

Guided Acivities

We love to watch the children connect with nature on their own, but we also sprinkle structured activities throughout the day. Below are some activities from previous camps

Flower Picking & Arranging

We discuss how to handle flowers, where and how to cut them, and how to encourage more growth from the plant.

Plant Identification

We learn the parts of a plant and start to understand how to tell one plant from another. We learn plant safety as well.

Living Soil

We look at soil as a changing, living microcosm. Children are encouraged to dig into the soil and see what lives there, using magnifying glasses, tweezers and more

Creek Exporation

We brought in a reptile enthusiast who took the children hunting for salamanders & crawdads while discussing their natural behaviors & habitat

Nature Art

Children love to create, so we allow them to explore that creativity through art projects. They use flowers, leaves and more to create take-home art.

STEM experiments

Ecological Studies

Our instructors are also scientists, so each day contains an age-appropriate science experiment to learn about gravity, friction, engineering and more

Our natural environment sustains life, so children learn about how water is diverted into streams and ponds. This proved especially important after Hurricane Helene struck our area in 2024

Intentional Play

It’s not all science and lessons. Children need to be children. So unstructured play time is built into every day and is woven through each activity.

This is where friendships are built, and life’s deeper lessons are learned.

Whether they’re chasing the farm cats, splashing in the creek, or just running in circles, Nature Camp encourages the freedom and fun that defines childhood.
