No prior experience needed—just a love for flowers and the spirit of the season.

Spend a crisp fall evening with us at Harvey Family Farm! On Friday, October 11, we’re bringing together live bluegrass music, delicious local food trucks, and our beautiful you-pick flower field for one unforgettable night.

🌻 Flowers in Bloom: Wander through the rows and cut your own bouquet. Mini bouquets are $15 and regular bouquets are $25.
🎶 Live Bluegrass: Tap your toes and relax to the sounds of local bluegrass musicians.
🍴 Food Truck: Enjoy a sweet treat while soaking in the views.

Discover the wild and wonderful world of edible plants—right in your own backyard.

Join us at Harvey Family Farm for a gentle, hands-on introduction to foraging for wild edibles. This workshop is perfect for beginners, nature lovers, and curious eaters who want to reconnect with the land in a meaningful (and delicious!) way.

Together, we’ll walk the field and fencerows, learning to identify common “weeds” that are actually edible and nutrient-rich—many of which you probably step over every day. You’ll taste, smell, and explore a variety of safe-to-sample plants, and we’ll wrap up by creating a simple, fresh salad from the wild greens we find.

• How to safely identify 6–8 edible wild plants

• Basic foraging do’s and don’ts (ethics & safety)

• How to prepare and enjoy wild greens at home

Learn the basics of Flower Arranging in a fun & relaxed setting. In this workshop, you’ll get a crash course in floral design, then you’ll choose your own fresh bouquets from our stunning you-pick flower field. Our resident Farmer will guide you through best practices for harvesting blooms and how to keep them fresh for as long as possible. $35 includes flowers & snacks!

Are you interested in learning how to easily find edible plants in your own backyard?

In this informative workshop, we will explore basic foraging safety guidelines and essential rules, as well as take the opportunity to sample a few of our favorite “weeds” that many people often overlook or discard.

Ages 14+

$35 includes materials

Bring your mom and enjoy a delightful brunch or tea among the flowers. Sip, chat, enjoy the farm. And then pick and design your own bouquet with the guidance of our flower farmer, Jennifer.

Are you frustrated with your current method of seed starting? Soil-blocking is an excellent way to start seeds indoors, with very little space and great germination rates!

As a flower farmer, I start literally hundreds of seeds at any given time. By soil blocking, I just need a small amount of space indoors before everything heads outside.

In this workshop, we will go through the steps to soil block planting, and you’ll have a chance to try it out for yourself. You’ll learn which soils work best, and how to make them work better. You’ll use a blocker to create your own little tray of blocks and then choose from a selection of spring flower seeds to plant in it. You can take this little tray of 40(!) flowers home and watch your handiwork bloom.

I’ll walk you through all the steps of when to keep things warm, when to water and feed, when to move into the light, and when (and how) to harden off your seedlings.

This reservation is for 2 guests and one bouquet, but if you'd like to bring more people or you'd like to pick more than one cup of flowers, there's an add-on option before checkout.
