Golden Hour at The Farm
A College Welcome Night
New semester. New faces. One golden hour away from campus.
Saturday August 29
6:30–9:30 p.m.
Leave campus for a relaxed evening among the flowers. Explore the Farm during golden hour, play cornhole, gather around the fire, make a s’more and spend time with new and old friends.
Students from ETSU, Milligan, Northeast State, TCAT and other local colleges are welcome. Bring your roommates, invite a friend—or come ready to meet someone new.
Your Saturday Night Plans
Arrive while the sun is still shining so you can wander through the flower field, take golden-hour photos and complete our optional Farm Challenge. As evening settles in, we’ll light the fire and gather for music, cornhole, s’mores and an easy night outside.

Four advance-admission tickets for you and your roommates or friends.
Bloom Bundle — $20
Includes admission and one mini you-pick flower cup.
At-the-Gate Admission — $10
Available only if the event has not sold out.
Attendance is limited. Advance tickets are strongly recommended.
Come As You Are
This isn’t a formal mixer, a loud campus party or an evening packed with scheduled activities.
It’s simply a beautiful place to spend a Friday night.
Bring the people you already know, or come on your own. The Farm Challenge and lawn games will make it easy to explore, participate and strike up a conversation without forced introductions.
Nonstudent guests attending with a college student are welcome.
Pick Flowers While You’re Here
Want to take part of the evening home with you?
Reserve the Bloom Bundle with your ticket and fill a mini cup with flowers from the field. Additional you-pick cups will also be available during the event:

Please purchase a cup before cutting flowers.
What to Bring
Comfortable shoes for walking through grass and uneven farm paths
A blanket or lawn chair if you’d like, although some seating will be available
Your ticket confirmation
A flashlight for returning to your vehicle after dark
Friends, roommates or simply yourself
Carpooling is encouraged because parking is limited.
Important Information
Golden Hour at The Farm is an alcohol-free event.
No pets are permitted. Trained service animals are welcome.
In case of unsuitable weather, the event will move to Saturday, Sept 5. Ticket holders will receive any weather-related updates by email.
Frequently Asked Questions
May I bring someone who isn’t a student?
Yes. Nonstudent guests are welcome when attending with a college student.
Do I have to purchase flowers?
No. Flower picking is completely optional and is not required to enjoy the evening.
Can I purchase a ticket when I arrive?
Gate admission will be available for $10 only if the event has not sold out. Advance tickets are recommended.
Is this event only for freshmen?
Not at all. New, returning, undergraduate, graduate, commuter and nontraditional students are all welcome.
What happens if it rains?
Our planned rain date is Saturday, September 5.. We will email ticket holders if the event needs to be moved.
